Francesco Collavino graduated in Photographic, Film, and Television Image from the State Institute of Art in Udine (IT).
In 2012, he earned the Diplôme d'Etudes Chorégraphiques in contemporary dance from the Conservatory of Paris.
That same year, he established the artistic corporation Ba.Bau.Corp. in Sweden, focusing on artistic research in choreography and multimedia language.
Concurrently, he has continued his training with renowned companies across Paris, London, Gothenburg, and Brussels, including Ultima Vez, Hofesh Shechter Company, Carolyn Carlson, Peeping Tom, Jasmin Vardimon, Arkadi Zaides, Iris Erez, Christine Gouzelis, Laly Aiguade, Giovanni di Cicco and others.
In Italy, he has worked with various companies such as Abbondanza/Bertoni, Balletto Civile, and MK, as well as at prestigious theaters like Teatro dell'Opera in Genoa and Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice under the direction of Luca Ronconi, Davide Livermore, Robert Carsen, among others.
In 2015/16, he was an artist in residence at the Lavanderia a Vapore in Turin as part of the Workspace Ricerca X - Research and Dramaturgy project, collaborating with Alessandro Pontremoli, Guy Cools, and Bart Van den Eynde.
He has been also supported by the CSS Teatro stabile di innovazione del Friuli Venezia Giulia, where he has developed his authorial path with a keen interest in performative art.
Since 2021/2022, he has been a trainer/teacher at the University IUAV of Venice, teaching in the Master's degree course in Theatre and Performing Arts, specifically in the curriculum of Theatre and Choreographic Studies under the guidance of Scholar Stefano Tomassini.
In recent years, he has collaborated with Roberta Mosca and Virgilio Sieni. Has been involved in teaching in ERT's Advanced Training Course in Physical Dramaturgy curated by Michela Lucenti.
